I don't ask for much this Christmas
What more can I do? All I want for christmas is you.
Have comed to a phase where I have come to be even more upset then earlier in regards to the unfairities of the world.
I saw a picture yesterday, posted in facebook and it was so painful to me. On one side of the photo is the starving beging children, on the other side is shopping hysteria as it worst with "big fat" ladies running around in the toy store with their hands full with toys. I bet you can see it in front of you.
And it hit me, again and again and again. We have known it for ages, for ever. We know it. But yet every year billards and billiards usd, is spent on Christmas gifts. Expensive toys, clothes, equipment. ("what do you get to someone who has it all? - a spa certificate at our place of course...").
But seriously, its only a thought, what if every single person on this planet planning to buy gifts for the holidays did spend around 10-15% of their give away budget on helping people in need. Kids, Red cross, Africa, Woman organizations, Barncancer fonden, any kind of helping organization. We will make this Christmas a Christmas where we started to make a change.
Am I naiv now? I do not believe so. Everyones give-away budgets are different, but if it will be 10-15% less, what different does it do in your Santa sack? This money together will change the life for others, who need it so much more.
.....its only a thought, and I am in. We have helping organizations here in Qatar as well.

I hear you. I am actually helping two net-friends who are having a seriously tough time in their lifes right now... PayPal is very very smooth and easy to use when you want to help people on the other side of the planet. :-)
